Susanna Lipchak came all the way from a boarding school in Long Island, New York to join the faculty at Norfolk Collegiate.
Prior to living in New York, Ms. Lipchak lived in France and Virginia before that.
“I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel a lot, and I’d [next]like to visit some places I haven’t been yet. A few of my top picks would be Dublin, Ireland and Amsterdam,” Lipchak said.
Between going to college at the University of Virginia, to living in France for months, to teaching at a boarding school in Long Island, New York, Ms. Lipchak has had a travel-heavy life.
“Studying abroad is unforgettable,” she said. “It helps you see a different perspective and is a very eye-opening experience.”
She has been teaching for five years and lived in Normandy, France for a time to earn her master’s degree. Ms. Lipchak also lived in Lyon, France.
“I knew that if I was going to do anything with French, I had to go to France to become fluent,” Ms. Lipchak said.
Besides having a passion for French, she also has a passion for Pembroke Welsh Corgis and the band Saint Motel.
She said, “I have a Corgi. Her name is Lilly and she is my baby.”
While also loving music and Corgis, Ms. Lipchak also has an interest for cross country. This season, she was the assistant coach of the varsity team with Mr. White.
